New Wave UG which is one of Kampala’s best RnB shows has curated quite the stage for this Saturday, 2nd March. We are excited for newcomer to Kampala’s scene: Nanseera Wolf. The show will be held at RTG, Muyenga and will cost you 10,000 UGX. A third culture kid: Nanseera is already popular in Atlanta where she hails from with popular tracks like American Odyessy.
Singing in her bedroom with her guitar, many comparisons could be made with Taylor Swift. The sweet sound, the touch on women empowerment…Her songs are based on her experiences, travels and all the places she has lived and belonged to. Beyond Swift, she also tackles more challenging topics like racism and colonialism questions many young people in the diaspora are increasingly curious about. One wonders if this could be a future fixture of the Ugandan music scene starting to ascend.
