It has been a hell of a month, season, year- we get it. So this may have fallen through the cracks on you, and as we speak- you’re actively cursing your tendencies of procrastination.

Relax a second yeah? There’s still time to register for the East African Photography Award- the deadline is August 1st, 2020. That’s Saturday. Like relax, but, you know, go register and stop wasting time.

There’s no reason not to if you’re a photographer from the East African region. We thoroughly encourage you to shoot your shot- this could be a massive opportunity just sitting there; while you idly sit, staring into the void of Netflix scrolling yet again. Take a ten minute break and sign up.

The winner of the competition will receive a Canon EOS RP with a 24-105mm lens and a lens adapter sponsored by Canon Central and North Africa and her or his work will be exhibited for one month during the winners’ exhibition later this year. She or he will be invited to come to Kampala to participate in the award-giving, the exhibition opening ceremony and the professionals’ week.

This part is crucial: don’t try to go through different channels with what could have been the winner-all submissions must be done online through the contest’s Visura link. More guidelines, terms and conditions can be found there as well.

Not to be redundant, but: the deadline for submissions is August 1st, 2020.

Keep your ears and eyes on the EA Scene for more info, details and highlights around the East African Photography Award within the coming weeks!
